The good, the bad and the nostalgic

Reflective Highlights from the weekend since I often think in random statements and rarely can bounce from one to the next without losing the quickest of minds I will spew it here. Where you can reread if you are confused:)
The Good:
+Watching #3's excitement as he opened presents that he truly loved
+Sitting near a warm fire on a cool night
+Watching the spectrum of colors from red, oranges and yellows as they danced is mesmerizing
+Going to bed with a house put back together after party #1
+Aunt L who kept the kids busy playing doctor while I cleaned is more than sweet
+Boogie down party where every body stops and dances, where else can you have such pure fun but with family?
+Teaching older kids at church that actually can answer thought provoking questions
+Eating leftovers all day Sunday where 3 out of 4 kids can serve themselves
+Having hubby home ALL weekend
+Starting off the weekend at dinner with moms and my boys
+Baby girl who managed to wear underwear all day away from the house with no accidents. Oh I can feel the never need to carry anything but my own purse days approaching
The bad:
-Even when you are with family there is still a need to censor conversation
-Asthma flare ups that cause bday boy to be down on power, white as a sheet and sad
-Bickering kids because they really are just kids and tired ones to boot
-Finances being tighter than I wish to accomplish all events at one time
-Small part of me struggling to relax and enjoy the time letting go of the next event looming overhead
-While mostly adorable, the challenge of a 2 1/2 year old in the house that disturbes things just to get a reaction can be irritating
-my newly 6 year old son is now wearing what #1 wore just one year ago. Who knew that an article of clothing could bring to the forefront memories of times lost
... with family there is a need to censor. Tee hee!
