Ok forgive me for calling Thanksgiving such but well turkeys and turkey stuff is such fun too. As I sit here with sucker remnants stuck in my hair not quite sure of when I picked
that up I have to giggle at the roller coaster of a day.

I hate how pictures seem to look. Apple crostada
and my first pumpkin pie |
Clearly being home just one day a week, basically a four day week, would be my dream! I believe I achieved all that needed to be done to keep my ship in shape. Sigh, I could have nearly that if only I didn't work my church job. Alas the time will come when I get that back too. Heck maybe next year I will have such luck who knows really. Anyway, I slept an hour later this am than normal which was a decent extra. 6 kids later the house is humming with activity. The older girls, (cousin K and #2) sat on 2 computers creating PowerPoint's and wordles then playing educational games in some quirky unspoken competition to learn more. The boys well no surprise that they younger two (cousin C and #3) rotated from the wii and the trucks/building projects. #1 did his typical nothing but electronic day.
Wash, cleaning of bathrooms and tomorrow's dessert prep along with Christmas party ideas, a trip to church to set up for service AND folding of laundry plus cooking dinner took place. Oh and also another organizational project post chicken coop cleaning, time had flown to 4:00. Meanwhile my littlest sidekick rotated back and forth between cousin K whom she loves best in this mixture and the boys. She "helped" me as much as she could too.

| I said don't look at the camera keep working:) |
I LOVE when the day leaves with much to show for it. PLUS the biggest bonus of all is that tomorrow I can simply toss the sweet potatoes cut and ready into the dish add the butter then marshmallows and cook. THAT is ALL. Well, I suppose a bit of here or there next door feast time but we come home to a clean house and chill! Woooohooo! This is a pretty great holiday with so very much to be thankful for.

| I can do it! |
The only other priceless highlight is #4. She noticed my candle that has "our" letter on it. I love how she noticed both her and my name starts with E. I honestly never connected the two in such a way. Asking in her adorably persuasive way, "Can we put the fire in it so I can go pffffffffft?". Now who can say no to that? Cousin K in her very grown up way offer to help in the relighting and so on we went. Well that is until #4 dropped both lit candles on the floor and required intervention. Teachable moment later I am pretty sure this won't happen without my help again either.

| Let me show you! |
Yep I am a certified firefighter, 911 dispatcher and still don't know better than to let my kids play with fire, LOL. I pray tomorrow is full of thankful kids, blessings of family and Daddy feeling loved even while away at the fire station. I also pray that each of you were renewed by this day too.
