Bits and pieces

This post will cover many bits and pieces of our December. It has been jam packed already with fun things, and I have been VERY slow about accomplishing shopping. Part of that is attributed to my side of the family not celebrating until Jan 9th and partly because I am trying to stay within my financial means, and lastly because I just can't seem to pull myself away from being a mom to do anything else. I did however enjoy several moments in time with my favorite far away friend (just cause I LOVE all the f's in that), and courtesy of her get my hair cut too. Otherwise that is it, no Mom's night out, no meetings just kids and me.
First we attended our first and probably last Candy Cane hunt. While a grand idea the temps outside made for a bitterly miserable waiting game. The actual hunting deemed just ok thanks to jack frost and his wind. The pictures are priceless simply because the pain that we endured to get them.

Next we visited Santa for the second time of the year at Daddy's Fire Station. This turned out to be a momentous occasion. #4 wasn't too hip on Santa but since Daddy was the person handing her off she shifted smoothly to sitting without crying. Then after leaving as not stopped talking about Santa. The first year they really get the true magic of Christmas is super fun and I am going to live this last child's time up as much as I can. Even #1 still mostly believes. I thought last year would be it, so maybe this is his last. All I know is I am doing my very best to make each moment count!
