Easter on speed
Here we kicked off the Palm Sunday/ Easter week with Aunt Net and my side of the family tradition. Littlest is in love with her oldest cousin Julia, and cousin Joe. I do believe the term puppy love was coined for them. Fun times like always with adults struggling to find our raffle number eggs and kids their coin filled eggs. At least the weather was wonderful!
Kids are blessed with gifts, the girls enjoying dance wear and #3 a new bat for machine pitch baseball this year. #1 received a Tae Kwon Do belt rack. It sure is wonderful to see him excel at something too. The big kids make the most memories throughout this event while playing wiffle ball after eating. Littlest Queen well she makes her memories with the people who gladly play with her. Uncle John was at the forefront in her youngest years even if she acted shy in his presence. This time they got into trouble jumping on the couch.
Aunt Lisa is by all means way up there with the two J's. It makes Aunt Net sad but she and #2 were tight in their day too.
#2 had competed and won Nationals earlier in the day therefore she was not dressed in her Easter best. Course, true to her character she rocked wiffle ball hitting it out of the yard multiple times. Meanwhile littlest made her mark on the field by entertaining Aunt Lisa. Once cousin Joe arrived she bossed helped him locate his eggs. It will be interesting to see how she adapts to a new baby in the mix next year thanks to Erin.
Finally after the stressful gigantic Sat night egg hunt the actual day arrived. Before releasing the kids I snapped this sweet shot. I do love that little girl more than words can ever express. One sure wonders how it is in fact possible to feel such powerful emotions about 4 very different children and one special man.
I couldn't find my own camera after church so Aunt Kelly took the at home egg hunt pics. That went off without a hitch, all three brothers were together again too. It is heart warming to listen and watch them mingle in this rare moments. How sad that they don't come together more often? I do pray my kiddos will. I sure plan on having a family dinner night where hubby cooks and do dessert for my kids once they are gone. If you feed them they will come :0
I suppose a relaxing end to a over committed weekend of service was the perfect ending after all.
