A big CRASH she goes
| Day 2 in all her dancer/horsie glory |
The funny thing to me is that I cannot recall a time when the earth shattering memorable BIG stuff happened on my watch. There was #1 and his chin cut requiring an ER trip and the ever so important glue over stitches routine. Next there was #2 and a ambulance ride on G-ma's watch ending in a broken arm. #3 made plenty of hospital/urgent care trips for asthma related troubles but that is not in the same league and traumatic injury. (See how the EMT/Firefighter/Dispatcher stuff creeps in, lol).
My 2nd day at work which included a haircut, drop off, PTO meeting and church TEAM meeting before arriving back home would be the day. #1's occurred on my due date for #2 while taking the final refresher test to renew my EMT license so of course this had to be a busy time too. During the presentation by the principal I receive several texts. They went like this :
G- Big crash, black eye.
Me- Who?
G- E
Me- Send pic
no response.....
Silly me figured it wasn't that bad and went on with the evening. I arrived home after she was in bed only to be told the swelling had went down and it was merely a bump by her eye. Her and #3 made a pillow fort and while playing she fell hitting her eye on the coffee table. O.K. I truck on with nightly duties and morning prep.

Seriously!!! I call G and inform him that was no little bump, thankful I am off work till 12:30 air on the safety side and take her in to the doc.She says that #3 hit her with a pillow and then she fell which of course the boys say is not true. She also was upset because the doctor didn't "doctor" her and she couldn't open her eye all the way when we left. All was well which I figured and she heads to school late, me to my work/school too. I am sure the interesting looks I will receive while out with her will be enough to make this last longer than a day for sure!
Here it is today.
She says, "Its not black its purple." if you comment. As long as she is my happy healthy girl I will take these things as they come. Let's pray this is the last of her major injuries. My God is big enough to answer that prayer now, don't mock ;)
