E's school

When you are the 4th child, little in stature yet mighty in spirit, you demand equality. 3 kids head to school 5 days a week, armed with backpacks and periodically lunch boxes too. Each day my daughter requests to be walked in to her classroom, where as #1 says goodbye at the car NEVER turning to look back or acknowledge the family's existence. #3 enjoyed his escorts to class until the first rainy day where I requested to drop off the other two. From that point on he emphatically asks for me to drop him off too. Since I am the book fair chair this gets denied and is met with disgust. UNTIL we skip, run or jump along and he is all smiles.
E (known to you as #4) spews her ideas at me from the sheer second I put the van in drive again.
Recently, those ideas include, "Drop E off at my school." After repeatedly moving past this conversation she is steadfast and undeterred. I relent telling her that is where we are going. She continues to tell me about how she will ride her bus, typically spoken in 3rd person. Instantly at home she runs inside to get her stuff together. Once dressed in what she believes appropriate attire she chants, "Bye bye mommy. See you tomorrow. Give E kiss."

All smiles, barely disguising my laughter I stop her for candid shots. I wait at the computer pretending to be oblivious to her comings and goings. Squeak, slam, bang and the door is shut. 2 minutes later it opens with the same gusto and she announces "I back." I assist in clothing removal and school begins.
Per her request we paint, discussing colors which she refuses to learn. Blue yellow is the name for all colors. WHATEVER, I have bigger fish to fry. We write, we read and then we head to "carry Foxy", aka ride Foxy.

Yep, this is my little girl's dream for school and I am the lucky Momma to oblige!!
