Kids small and big dreams

#1 is never short on ramblings of the mind. He often spews the most unusual thoughts in the middle of something completely unrelated. For example this morning on the way to school he told me he wished there was a way for your dreams to become real, as in when you thought them they just happen. It wouldn't be a power everyone could have because people might unwish his dreams you know. *sigh* another reminder of how the harsh world is treating him. But in true #1 fashion he trucks on. If he could have superpowers they would be invincibility, invisibility and flying. I do believe it is time to get out the original God based Superman movies. He also would create a new hometown Starwars Ironman Electronica Candytopia. I think that is a description not a name. Ironman is a bit new to the list so I will look up some info on that influence for sure.

I rarely have much to say following his randomness because the phrase 'nuf said' seems most fitting. At bedtime after overhearing hubby and I squabble a bit loudly and then end laughing he shared an insight between #3 and himself. Apparently, in #1's mind he chases his brother when he frustrates him not to catch him but to watch him flee. He stated specifically that he jogs not races for that exact reason. Funny stuff! I can only imagine the stories they will tell me from behind the scenes that I did not know.

The other dream player this day is #2. Tonight she had her very first guitar lesson. Is there anyone surprised by the fact that she breezed right through it doing what most do in 2 lessons? As I waited another boy about her age (ish) came out from his lesson and the instructor informed the dad how he needed to practice. All the while the dad repeated over and over how he didn't want to burn him out. Well, no worries about that with my daughter for sure. She is down there practicing tonight still! I had to take the guitar away so she would go to sleep! Now my boys would not be this easy. She wants to be famous. Somehow I have no doubt she will find a way to be famous whether here or far away. I just pray everyday that God leads me and hubby as her parents to guide her in his ways and not just what the world values!

I am pretty sure I will blink and I will be sitting here talking about the dreams of my youngest fireball and her dreams as it nears time for #1 to grab those dreams and make them real. This is a precarious place looking forward and holding on to every moment left today without missing yesterday too much.

Here's to all our dreams coming true when we stand before the father and here the priceless words.. "Well done good and faithful servant." Right?!
