hmmm well

Yep, that sums it all up really. Over the last few days I have had several ideas for blog posts run through my mind, and even played out in my head too. Yet low and behold when the time arose for me to type my obligations took over and I ended up letting this go. Oh how I wish I hadn't because really this will be my history as a parent and it I will treasure more than the happy birthday post, or random reply I made elsewhere.
Never the less here I am, a loss for words pretending I do not hear another of my 4 children's excuses to not be asleep at this hour. So, because I refuse to walk away nothing to show I will instead begin with some random possibly unrelated list of thoughts. Maybe just maybe like teachers will tell you writing in itself will inspire the stories to arise.
1. Pineapple Upside Down Cake, or anything or dessert named flavored yogurt does NOT taste anywhere close to the real thing! (my attempt at a late night somewhat healthy dinner gone bad)
2. The more tired exhausted kids are the harder they will work at not going to sleep.
3. Having 3 children in school is harder than it sounds. There may be 6 hours of the day that is not driving them somewhere or feeding etc BUT the hours they are home are so jam packed even if we don't leave the house that it makes my head spin sometimes.
4. There is a VERY fine line between blessing someone with your service and allowing the service to take away from your life. I can feel the door closing on a thing or two in my life and trusting his grace to honor the commitment will endure.
5. If you leave food you do not really like next to you, you will pick at it because it is there. (yucky yogurt) :)
6. Evangelene is showing off her 3ness as she mimics others in an instant most often immediately after they were corrected. Likewise she is hilarious as her new thing is to move her head quickly side to side as she speaks given the added flare and emphasis to her vocabulary. My not so favorites are I don't care, and never mind.
7. Having older kiddos to help with younger is a mixed blessing, see above for inspiration in word choice. Though I suppose I may have said IDK a time or two...maybe.
8. Mallard ducks are not pet material, but luckily Peking ducks are and so the mallard stays with the Peking making it work out.
9. Daisy (Peking) is super sweet, and enjoys my singing. My little sunshine and Jesus loves me or favorites. It calms them when the commotion of bedtime stirs them up. Who knew right?
10. By the end of a serving of yogurt that you kinda don't like you will begin to think it is not so bad.
11. In order to enjoy the benefit of no car payment (which has nearly equaled the amt of money spent on gas last month, just saying OUCH) I am driving a vehicle with only a radio and cassette tape deck. That's right folks, a 1998 van instead of my hanging together ok barely driving so it stays hanging in there 2002 van has a 6 CD player in it. How times changed in a flash. To make the best of this transition I retrieved my double shoe box size container of tapes. A lesson in the "old days" for my kids. (Man I do feel old now).
12. The positive spin on my mother's overkill of no secular music as a child because it make me want to have sex motto is that I now own MANY tapes of Godly children's music, plays etc which have come in handy as they all take turns picking what to play. They even fight over who gets to push the eject button and switch them. HA! I can feel a I remember when my mom story brewing for the future for sure!
13. After all this brainstorming I realized that in the last week I have barely spent anytime in the word, or prayer so maybe that is what I should head to do next.
Thanks ya'll for readin, listening and caring even if you do not post. Although I crave feedback desperately I am aware that I am valued and loved regardless. Happy almost Mother's Day to those who are and those that aren't I pray God gives you a blessed weekend as well!

This was taken on Monday even now they are bigger still. Just another reminder of how time flies, we all get older and our purpose here is even more important to fulfill!
