Livin through the songs

If you are anything like me you listen to the words of every song you hear and really feel them way deep down. This is probably why heavy metal has never been attractive to me, or classical music. I need the poetry of it all.
Well along the years the types of songs that mean the most to me have changed. Currently Sugarland, Melissa Etheridge, Pink and Addison Road are my top favs. While I do not blankly support each artist life style as for the songs well they mean something to me.
But within those favs I noticed that there is a specific song I identified with during the younger/baby days of each child. Since this is the place I document that stuff I will share it with you.

Joey: Creed With Arms Wide Open http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99j0zLuNhi8

Annabeth:  Lonestar My front porch looking in http://www.cmt.com/videos/lonestar/59318/my-front-porch-looking-in.jhtml

Michael: Family tree by Darryl Worley http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnZwhRobXf0

Eva: Stuck like Glue by Sugarland http://www.metrolyrics.com/stuck-like-glue-lyrics-sugarland.html though the video is NOTHING like what the words mean to me regarding Miss #4 soso check them out and not the video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC0IhlquYlI Janedeargirls Wildflower

Then ones that speak to emotions I have recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HXw3EIQoZk
Hello World by Lady Antebellum simply because the video really hits the nail on the head after every bad 911 call.

  1. Elizabeth - You know that we both have a love for music! Today has been a 90's country kind of day for me so I have been listening to everything from Travis Tritt to Rick Trevino.

Thanks for sharing your love of music with us!

  2. Shannon Country music ties to Christian music most of the time simply because the message in the song is something I don't mind hearing my kids sing. But I do get ya on this front for sure. Life without music is unimaginable!
