Quick there's a noise!
Thud, stomp, thud enters #1 in a rush. "There's a noise in my room and I can't figure out what it is!" he speaks in a typical #1 serious tone. Hubby and I had stopped our computer/tv time to listen to the desperate need. Typical for these times everyone waits for me to take the next step. "What did it sound like?" I retort. "The first noise was weird but I figured out it was my stomach." (insert nearly choking back laughter sounds from both hubby and I) but without skipping a beat he continues, "Then there was a scraping sound but I checked the posters and the fan doesn't hit them. I can't say what the other noises exactly are or make them right." Quick thinking by Daddy and I we both begin to inquire whether it is the cicada phenomenon outside that he is hearing, they are pretty loud. Alas, he is SURE that is not it. We did google them, their benefit to the environment and more before praying and heading to bed.
Hubby begins to tease and he is abruptly stopped, "I am serious Daddy!", fists clenched while screaming at him. I ask hubby if he is planning on making the trek to figure it out and he says of course. #1 attempts to climb on to the bed with me when Daddy catches him. "Oh you are coming with me, I'm going to your room by myself." #1 laughs at the lighten the moment kinda statement and they are both off.
I change the channel to my new family favorite show Good Luck Charlie instead of the horrible, uninteresting to me Military Channel documentary BLAH! Life can have its really fun twists after all, lol.
Now, if you have approx 20 min to check out the show here is a link of the one we were watching. I tell ya I so relate to soooo much of this show even if my oldest is not a teenager like the show. Hubby and I have much in common with them too. Not too often there is a real life but family values show we all can enjoy together for sure! Especially since #1 just had a sleep over much like the boy near his age in the show.
Good Luck Charlie
