This year has kicked off with accomplishment....
I had a couple things I was hoping to get done this winter break. One is the organization of the preschool supplies at church. Since I am in charge of preschool for both campuses, and in that time we had to move storage out and into a new building. It was imperative to have it all accessible for us to keep cost down and make best use of things. That I completed this past Tuesday. It only took me 5 hours even!

The only thing left was my own personal storage area. It basically is the only room which doesn't have drywall, and really could be a very small bedroom. Once upon a time it was to be hubby's work space, then my craft space, then random mess. Like really I let my riffling through teaching supplies turn in to a take your life in your own hands kinda experience. As shocking as that may be to those who have spent time with me here is photo documentation. You just never know what is behind closed doors right?
Anyway, I begun this adventure on New Year's Eve but with limited hours completed it today. I have to say I am super thrilled with myself as it looks great AND I made my daughter so very happy. You see the new space was promised to her as her personal classroom. She did call it her office but I consider that a compliment to my classroom called office where I teach. I enjoy clean orderly spaces so it surely is a win win all the way.
But the BEST part is that it led to two other bonus areas. One the old "classroom" upstairs which is a dining room once playroom now mostly dining room which got a minor redo. Also, the downstairs living room which received a new to us chair and different placement of furniture. Sigh, I love when things come together! Now all I have left to do is get rid of the donations and burn stuff from it all. Yep, this year is kicking off quite well! Am I predictable or what?

It amazes me how pictures do not seem to do things justice sometimes. But you get the over all concept, open space and everything has a place. We even added mats from upstairs to make it more school like.

I love when I get a room all clean and organized. It makes me feel like i've accomplished something amazing LOL. Mine was the laundry room and I got it done but it def. took a few days since it's also the storage area. Now it's done and I can relax knowing all the laundry has been cleaned/dried/folded/hung/and put away.
ReplyDeletecongrats on your accomplishment can't think of a better way to start the year.
