Dreams

Last night seemed to be a big night for dreams in my family. I suppose falling asleep with the crash of lightning and the boom of thunder echoing about does that for many people especially kids. Either way it first started at before 10pm with #2.
Sovereign look and labored steps she arrived at my bedside. She clearly stated she had a bad dream. I inquired and she began. Our family was back in IN for vaca like last year in the apt (it was a suite on the 2nd floor but ok). Something happened and I threw her out the window causing her to break her leg. Before she could get up I tossed Eva out and she managed to catch her but making them both trip and land in the swimming pool. Next was Michael and last Joey but their injuries were unspoken. She said I didn't throw Daddy. Thank goodness as my mind is envisioning myself big and green like the hulk to do all that,LOL. I reassured her discussing how dreams are not reality. She ended up laughing as we talked, a quick prayer and headed back to bed. Yeah me for solving this problem and not even getting out of bed myself.
The previous night I worked at my part time job getting to bed at 1:30am so I called it a night sometime before 11. Sadly I was awoken to a 5 year old boy disturbed by the 2nd round of storms and seeking a respite with me. I readily agree as this is not common place and Daddy was in fact at work. I glance at the clock, 11:53. Wow, how is it that such a short time feels like forever. Sleep takes over and it isn't until 2am that I carry him back to his bed.He relaxes in my arms and acts comfortable and safe.
#1 is the first one up, this is pretty predictable with only #3 ever beating him. It wasn't until much later in the day I overhear him discuss his latest dream. He usually says he does not dream because he doesn't sleep but a few hours a night and not until midnight at that. I chuckle and tease but he sticks by this untruth and it is not worth the fight. Last night he says we were all in an old cottage and someone in our house stole beer. Huh, my husband is a social drinker. It is not everyday for their even to be beer in the house but since his party was last weekend and TONS of beer bottles are there to be recycled I will go with that. Anyway, the bad guys (not cops???) came to arrest us and everyone tried to run away. Apparently K and C (cousins) were here and they too grabbed bikes because there was a bike hwy to ride on nearby. Mom and Dad were caught and taken away. #4 who is not yet skilled in bike riding was also caught and then he too was captured (yes caught for others and captured for himself). Running crossed his mind because safety was only a mile away but he just let them capture him since he was already tired.
He smirked when I asked a question to make sure I had the facts correct to document here. I am thinking extra details were added for the listening benefit of the crowd. Hmmm, should I seek out a dream interpreter? Nah. Maybe next time....
