First day of school all new too
This year the kiddos began a new journey at the school. This year friends my children are privileges enough to attend the school I teach which is in fact a private school. I once could have been quoted saying that I could never afford for my kids to go private but well I didn't account for teaching at one either. I guess never say never is the ultimate rule for sure!
Needless to say endless school supply shopping, uniform buying, math kit, PE dress out clothes, recorder, binder kit, planners and more we have come to the very first day. My true school lover pops out of bed in an atypical event. #2 is thrilled to start this journey helped by knowing a fellow cheer friend, previous dance class friend, and two others. #1 well he wasn't jumping for joy but since he had a former Tae Kwon Do buddy it seemed doable for him. Littlest was praying she somehow could start school a week early and prepared her lunch anyway. But #3 he floated between all emotions not really sticking to any particular one. I guess the security of C man with him at lunch, pe and recess assisted the safe thoughts, but knowing not a single soul in his actual class was intimidating too. Yet, he got up fairly well. #1 appeared wearing the appropriate uniform shirt but slick jogging shorts. Ummmm WHAT? Thank God in the true sense that I had started a load of wash and managed to wash then dry school approved shorts. Thanks kid for that am stress.
Since it was a half day meaning we all got out at 11:30 it felt a bit like summer still. Niece K and nephew C with my oldest 3 made our way home to change and then straight to the local pool where we had our finale. Being that many kids in the area had started school there was about 10 people besides us leaving the options unlimited for the water slide and diving board. I even managed to make several attempts too. It truly was perfection.

All in all nothing but a good day once we got out the door. Here's to many more great days along the road of our new adventure ahead.
*PS on day 2 #3 left his back pack at home causing Daddy to retrieve it for him. He was a bit shaken but survived. Here's to day 3 being better still.
