Baby OH Baby

A lot of discussion along my mommy friend world as of late is the last baby kind of reminiscing. I am thankful for the company in this area, it seems many times the lovely ladies I could not imagine life without are in different places such as newly potty training, night waking breaking, and on.
Recently upon retrieving #4 from her bed in the morning the passing thought of how fun it would be to change up her room, ie her bed with new bedding, etc came to mind. But before I could expand to the details a flash of no more crib meaning no more baby shocked my system. Let's be real this child is as far from the baby as any 2 1/2 or even 4-year-old with her vocabulary and on. A crib hardly defines her as a baby. Mostly I have longed for her to sail on to the next as it were. I am ok with no more baby needing feedings every 2, 3, or 4 hours, no more diapers, no more pumping or discomfort from being "full" and on.
Course, I think about all this and then I look at the pictures above her bed which are my pregnancy and her newborn pics. Why is it I have never updated them? I suppose I am unrelenting in allowing myself to let it go. I know I have said this several times as of late so for the few who actually read this regularly sorry for my repetition. How can a person be so wishy-washy? I think yes grow up, no I'm not ready for them all to be gone. Is there a magic ball that can suck all this precious innocence up and keep it forever?
That is the root, isn't it. #1 will be in elementary just one more year, and #4 will start preschool next year a few days a week. She represents my parenthood. My life as a loved, cherished, holding hands, snuggling on the couch, climbing in the bed early weekend mornings. The person who can scoop them up and make everything better, the one they can't wait to tell everything to, that is what my dear sweet baby girl represents.
Geez, I never thought I would be this silly, babbling, hanging on for dear life lady.
I am growing up right along with them, huh. Not in my 20's anymore:(
Alright come her 3rd bday I hope to be ready to embrace the next stage, head to Disney for a family vacation, and be a growing-up family. Wish me luck!
I think the wishy-washiness is fully understandable.
