Monday's mouthy moments

I think I am gonna try posting some quips from the mouths of my kiddos for ya. Here's the first dose.

Missouri is where my family and I reside which means our weather is all over the place. Last week on Monday we had 6 inches of snow and by Thursday it was 83 degrees. It cooled off over the weekend but today it once again got into the 80's. I hate to say it but it was too hot for March even for always cold me. The great part of the wonderful weather is that it encourages even the least outdoors person to get moving. #1 spent his mandated outside time in a lawn chair reading funnies, comics or a book but fresh air was breathed by all.
Yesterday while working with Daddy and I #2 asked if we could go fishing. Since it just happened that I was moving landscaping rocks around and unearthed several worms this request came true. Not 1, or 2 but all 6 family members managed to catch at least one fish. They were biting away, I suppose happy for the warm air. Daddy stayed out till the end to assist #3 in achieving this goal as he was the last. It is such a heartwarming experience reveling in these times when the father and his namesake work together. Goal achieved, 2 happy smiling facing later we headed in for the night.
I almost forgot, while we had our lines cast and semipatiently waited #1 gave me reason to smile. The story goes something like this:
The scene: On the end of the pond nearest to our house where we are all spaced apart a geese is honking away warning us to stay back. The geese hovers in the area and around making a huge ruckus. Near the land attached to the edge of the pond another geese most likely female sits in the water, head down very low remaining extremely still. These 2 seem to have a nest on our land year after year, but that wouldn't be in the water. We all grow curious watching this scene.
#1 being mostly focused on the task at hand, catching fish, says nothing all the while I am unsure of a problem such as injured animal or a lady in waiting to lay eggs experience. All of the kids and I discuss what is wrong, hubby acting like we are crazy. Suddenly the male noisy geese flies off the pond above the nearby field around the house and off the property. In the instant that followed his exit #1 says, "There's the divorce."
LOL

Baby girl loves, loves, loves horses. She was in heaven getting to ride not only Rose (Rosie sometimes) but Foxy too. Here's to many more years with Foxy around. She will be 28 next month which is pretty old for a horse. We are more than blessed to have the best kind of horses. Ya know where I am not financially responsible for them, and do not have to take care of them daily but can see them anytime and claim them as my children's. How lucky my kids are to grow up feeling like they have a horse!
