My glorious Saturday

Today began a 3 day weekend, the first I have enjoyed since I began working. I remember now how having a job means any day off is most precious time. This particular break comes with a double whammy in that hubby is home for 2 out of the 3 days. Woohoo!
Obedient kind youngest son of mine even closed our bedroom door allowing us to sleep in past him AND #4. This is a milestone since previously she would come pouncing in asking for a drink and waking up the entire household. Hearing their commotion I got up and decided to get my run in, it felt great. I prayed the first half and jammed the second. God first is definitely the way to begin.
We all cleaned the house and did various chores until we were interrupted (a welcome one) by Daddy who found a snake skin in the pond. Yes folks we live in the country!

International spy (apparantly bad
with her crew)

#1 who is determined to win
Nap time, dinnertime and international spy time see left. #2 drew up a map where they could find clues along the way too. She is currently into bad and scary type things which are tricky.
Pajama time later we all gathered together to play. Daddy led play usually involves wrestling. Men and boys are so physical. 4 began the attack and it just continued with a bet that kids couldn't knock Daddy over. At one point #4 acted like a chicken while she made her way to him because he should be "skered" she said. Then a ball bounce/catch contest too.

Lastly, a water fight. Yep you heard me right, a water fight. Daddy disappeared in the chase into our bedroom and locked the door. The kids quickly assembled me by the door to unlock it only for me to get the brunt of the water into my shirt. Not to be outdone I headed to the kitchen while the rest screamed and scrambled away. I did successfully shoot him (well along with the wall/floor too). I am not sure there was much else heard with the laughter intensified. More running, darting and adapting to a water fight with one water gun in the house. When suddenly as all good things physical seem to end in this house WHAM! Poor baby girl finally healed from her black eye slides and smacks her head on the floor. Laughter turns to tears and I swoop in like the best of mommas do. A bit of snuggling later we gather on the couches to wrap up a glorious day. Just before prayer time the boys attempted to "fart" on Daddy. Ugh, I am the mom of boys and this is the crazy stuff that comes along with it. I suppose not always being proper has a point too. Anyway it was pretty funny to watch!

Fart funnies
Tomorrow Daddy will be gone and rooms need to be cleaned plus wash done but I feel game/movie night coming around. Here's to some of your own amazing times this weekend!
