the little stuff that makes my heart pitter patter

My littlest fireball, Evangelene the Queen sweet baby girl is up to nothing and everything all wrapped in one. I figured I would revisit her happenings because well they are only little like this once and she encompasses all of the lasts wrapped together every day.
I reminisce days gone by with each of the big 3 as she moves more swiftly than I would like from stage to stage. Forgive me for lingering on this thought process often if you will..

 Curly cue baby girl is so darn adorable! I just had to snap a picture of this natural spin in her hair. Post shower or amid humid air it is at its best which is ironic because those are the times my hair is at its worst. I love how much different she is from us all and how unique God made her. I cannot wait to see what she does with the rest of her sweet life.



Now, it seems one of her current favorite snacks is peanuts. I mentioned how she sat between Daddy and I and cracked away at them. This morning before church she snuggled herself in my bed (on Daddy's side thank goodness) and made her solo attempt at such a feat. I couldn't get mad even though it was a bit of a mess. She will eat 24 hours a day if I let her. There must be a bottomless pit in there!
Lastly, my dream in action. I always pictured a white picket fence, wrap around porch etc AND among many other things pet ducks. She loves Daisy and Minnie and cries if she cannot help let them out, feed them or any chore. She is my farm girl, just like her closest brother. Still speaking in two's like when she first learned to talk she calls, "Duck, duck. Chick, chick."
One happy momma am I!

Toddler world here we come...

It is funny to me how each and every one of my 4 children have adapted to new skills differently. It is so very true that once you have been through it does not mean you know it all. The older I get the more I realize that having more kids makes you more seasoned with a larger idea book. Eva has put me through no binky which I never really believed was true, and no bottle only milk from Momma EVER. I have been safe from the climbing out of the crib routine though she is 20 months there is still time, LOL. Eva's new skill is opening the fridge. This in itself is not anything magical or over the top. But it is frustrating!! I had to call a service man for this fridge some months ago because it wasn't working correctly only to find out that it was simply condensation freezing over and blocking air flow due to the door being open too much. Piglet strikes again...

Lately dinner has become a major source of tension in my home. Many of you may know I HATE to cook as it stands so any additional frustration pulls at my temptation to not cook at all. The girls are pretty good about trying foods, eating salad and not complaining too much. The boys on the other hand have really gotten ridiculious. They would not try sloppy joe's, pulled beef which was AMAZING. G even had several helpings, or pork chops, even cheeseburger pasta (mac and cheese with beef). I have always felt that you must eat a few bites of everything and then if you are full or truly not hungry than fine. Fruit or vegetable is available anytime. But when I watch #1 eat 9 pieces of pizza, an adult meal at any fast food joint, or even restuarant I realized that he is playing the system. He has gotten a little better, except for gagging on sweet potatoes which he later was shocked to find out they were a potato and said if he has know that he would have ate them, What??? Valentines, Boys and food

Last night all 3 big kids sat with me on the little couch reading books. One of them was called will you be my valentine. Michael asked what a valentine was and as I was explaining about "boy" friends and boy friends/ girl friends and "girl" friends. Annabeth then says so you and Daddy knew each other when you were kids. I tell her no and she gets confused. She asked some more questions suprised to hear that Daddy wasn't my only boyfriend. She asks if I kissed the other boys and I hestitated but said yes. She asked how old I say when you are 16 you might kiss a boy, HA! Daddy chimes in and says more like 20. All the kids yell at him because he usually does add something to tease with. Annabeth then covers her mouth and says I am NOT going to kiss a boy. Jan 1st 2010 we were heading to eat Chinese.
